Celebrate Christmas in Denver

With Christmas less than one week away, here's our top three family-focused ways to celebrate the holidays in Colorado!

Ideas were captured from denver.org/milehighholidays

THE POLAR EXPRESS TRAIN RIDE

WHEN: Nov. 10-Dec. 23, 2016
WHERE: Colorado Railroad Museum

The story of The Polar Express is being theatrically re-created so you and your family can be immersed in the sights, sounds and intrigue of this classic children's tale. Prepare to be surrounded by the magic and wonder of the holiday season!

SOUTHWEST RINK AT SKYLINE PARK

WHEN: Nov. 22, 2016-Feb. 14, 2017
WHERE: Southwest Rink at Skyline Park, the corner of 16th and Arapahoe
Take a spin on the ice - for free! Grab your family and friends and head to 16th and Arapahoe in downtown Denver to the Southwest Rink at Skyline Park! Skate rentals are $2 - or bring your own pair and skate for FREE! Free days for kids will take place throughout the season.

ZOO LIGHTS

WHEN: Dec. 2, 2016-Jan. 1, 2017 (preview weekend Nov. 25-26)
WHERE: Denver Zoo

Zoo Lights will span through 70 acres of Denver Zoo's campus with nightly entertainment, animal encounters, Santa meet-and-greets and, of course, illuminated animal sculptures that swing through trees, jump across lawns hide in bushes and appear in places where they’re least expected.

Outside of Denver we would recommend a trip to The Broadmoor to view Christmas lights and experience one of their holiday shows, or a horse drawn carriage ride M Lazy C Ranch.
