All I Care About is Pasta...

The other day I saw a post that read, “All I care about is pasta and like 3 people.” I laughed out loud the moment I read it because though this statement may sound like it lacks love and compassion, haven’t we all been there before? It’s interesting the ups and downs life can bring us. In our emotions, in our situations and in our relationships. One thing I have come to realize is that when my heart gets pretty close to reflecting the above statement, its time for a tune up of the heart.

Probably because of the “pasta” ;-) I have been thinking about John 6:35, “Jesus replied, ‘I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.’” I see so many people today trying to lead their own hearts, heck, I find myself trying to do this as well. But I love that Jesus continually gives us a “better way” in scripture to live. He is always directing us to a place of fulfillment in Him, satisfaction in Him and joy in Him.

So, if you are having a “pasta and only 3 friends” kind of day, grab a hold of John 6:35 today. Let God’s word fill you! Let God’s word renew your mind today. Let’s live lives that are full of the love of God. His word is the perfect tune up for every heart, in every season.

Flourish well today!

Hannah
