New Year. New You.

Happy New Year ladies! 2016 is here and I don’t know about you, but I want to have big faith for big things from a big God this year! I know God doesn’t desire to give me old, stale leftovers and so I have decided not to be content with that either. I am looking for a fresh, new thing in Him!

Mark your calendars because on January 21st we gather for our monthly Flourish meeting at the Lantern House. I already have a message in my heart for each of us and I am so expectant to share it. I believe you will be refreshed and encouraged as you leave this night.

Today, I want to encourage you with this thought, “with your roots, goes your fruit.” I believe in 2015 God began many good things in each of us. Roots started to go down deep, some roots maybe deeper than others. I am constantly learning in my walk with God that in order for Him to do big things through my life, he needs to do big things under the surface of my life. As much as that can sound exciting … it is usually painful. It’s painful because God uses moments of pain to test our faith, character, perspective and commitments. Through pain His love can be felt just as much as in times of victory.  I believe roots have gone down deep in your hearts in 2015 and I want to encourage each of us to let 2016 take them deeper. Let’s not allow busyness, disappointment, tiredness, wrong priorities, wrong voices, wrong perspectives etc. to take our roots out.

Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.
— Colossians 2:7

I believe so many Christians are walking around with roots hanging out of the ground of their heart. For different reasons they have pulled them up and because of that there’s a delay of growth, a sense of no longer Flourishing. I want you to know that God does not desire that for us. He wants us to flourish, even in painful times of growth. It is my goal to seek God for a new and fresh word each month for us so that our roots can go down deep and we can flourish well together!

See you on the 21st!

Xoxo,
Hannah
